Anti-whaling activist’s detention to continue while Japanese extradition request is considered, court rules
The anti-whaling activist Paul Watson is to remain in detention in Greenland while Denmark decides whether to extradite him to Japan, a court in the Danish autonomous territory has ruled.
Watson, 73, founder of the Sea Shepherd conservationist group and the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, was arrested when his ship docked at the port of Nuuk on 21 July.
