Anthony Albanese has left open the possibility of a double dissolution election over stalled legislation, urging the Coalition and Greens to pass housing and environmental bills in the Senate.
On Tuesday the prime minister twice refused to rule out Labor calling a possible double dissolution over bills, including the help to buy shared equity scheme, replying, “Well, we’ll wait and see,” when it was suggested Labor would fare poorly in such an election.
